I have a few radios which I was was able to acquire at a very good price ( Hi Hi ).
ICOM IC-7600
This ICOM IC-7600 is my preferred HF radio as it has spectrum scope.
I do some out of Amateur band SWLing and the scope is great for this.
This radio has a SP-5 Yaesu speaker complete with the phone patch (some day I may even use it).
This radio is setup for soundcard modes.
It is also setup for CFARS (MARS) digital modes.
The microphone is a boom MIC I reclaimed from my audio P.A. servicing days.
It is a typical hand held dynamic MIC that a singer might use and it is mounted on a old flexible lamp mount.
..
HF / VHF /UHF all mode Mobile radio
The mobile is an IC 7100 complete with an old LDG antenna tuner.
The antenna is a modified hustler with a set of different coils,
I also have several methods of increasing the length to improve radiation when stopped
VHF/UHF radios
I also have a Kenwood 710D in the Mobile for VHF/UHF and APRS.
Yeasu Amplifier
The VL-1000 has modified for CFARS (MARS) and is my primiary Amp.
It is currently connected to the IC-7600
The HF rotator is mounted in the lower part of the tower
to reduce the torque on the upper part of the tower.
The controller is connected to a computer via an RS232C port.
The unit has a mouse for quick selection of the presets.
The AlfaSpid Rotator works very well down to -40 C
It is mounted on the main Wade (Delhi) tower
The VHF/UHF rotator is mounted in the lower part of the tower
to reduce the torque on the upper part of the tower.
The controller is connected to a computer via an RS232C port.
The unit has a mouse for quick selection of the presets.
The AlfaSpid Rotator works very well down to -40 C
It is mounted on a small tower next the main tower
The VHF/UHF AZ/EL rotator is currently not mounted.
Antenna switch
The antennas are switched by both and old LDG and manual switchs.
All feed lines are "Hard line" 1/2 " or 7/8" for the most part, execpt for a few jumpers.
Power
All radios are run from batteries and a backup generator can be brought on line manually.
